Default How is my build looking..

So, I've recently started playing my ritualist again, and really enjoy playing it because of SoS's awesome 3 spirit no energy effect. But then I got tired of spirit spamming and went for a different route in Channeling. This build is mostly based on the elite ritualist skill Destructive was Glaive:

Channeling - 12 + 1 + 2
Spawning Power - 12 + 1
Restoration - 3

Destructive was Glaive
Renewing Surge
Spirit Rift
Empowerment
Spirit Siphon
Destruction
Rupture Soul
Flesh of my Flesh/Death Pact Signet

I'll provide reasons of my choices:

Destructive was Glaive
- 10% AP to all ritualist skills
- PBAoE, great for spike support

Renewing Surge
- instant recharge while holding bundle
- relatively short casting time
- easily spammable skill

Spirit Rift
- Helpful for spikes, this was the skill slot I couldn't really decide on, it was between this or Ancestor's Rage, or another attacking skill, which wasn't necessary at all

Empowerment
- Gives +41 health (at level 15 Channeling) and +10 energy, so makes up for the lost of a staff or wand and off-hand
- don't really need it that much, energy management isn't that big of an issue

Spirit Siphon
- At level 15 Channeling, you get 50%, which is 15.5, rounded down to 15, you can use this on either Empowerment or Destruction, or another ally's spirit

Destruction
- One of the biggest reasons I chose this was because it only has a 15 second recharge time, which allows you to:
a) cast it more often to use Spirit Siphon
b) relocate
c) choose when you want to spike damage

Rupture Soul
- Used in conjunction with Destruction, after you've Spirit Siphoned it or just want to add more to the spike
- Probably not really necessary

Flesh of my Flesh/Death Pact Signet
-Self-explanatory

The only thing I can say I don't like too much is that the damage is affected so heavily by AL. When you're fighting monsters with higher AL, your damage doesn't seem to be that great, and just annoys you. But then you hit something with lower AL, and you do great damage, making you think this build is great.

So I'd just like some opinions from fellow ritualist (or any other) players about this build. I've used it for a few days now and it seems to be a rather decent build. Having only 30-40 energy, I've never really had energy issues. The damage is decent, not great. Lots of AoE, and Destructive was Glaive doesn't have terrible range at all. The spirits I might reconsider, but I can't see the use of more attack spells.

Unless there is some major benefit between 14 and 15 channeling dont run a major.
There are definitely better options

Main reason I'm using a major rune is because my other build uses it, and I haven't decided to craft a new head piece yet.

And when you say better options, do you mean rune wise, or skill wise?
